New York, NY – December 12th, 2018 – Auditchain CEO, Chris Danusiar and our Product Manager Luiza Romero joined the 2018 CPA Summit hosted by MACPA at Sheraton Baltimore North Hotel Towson, MD on December 6th, 2018. The 2018 CPA Summit is a one-day event where CPA’s learn from the most important voices in the profession and find solutions to push careers forward. Topics include leadership, technology, cutting-edge trends, and emerging professional issues. Danusiar joined a discussion panel moderated by Leon Katsnelson, CTO of IBM on ‘Remaining Relevant: AI in Accounting & Auditing’. Chris was joined by John Colhart CEO of Mindbridge AI and Enrico Palmerino, CEO of botkeeper. The panel discussed how relentless automation and technology innovation is democratizing and productizing and reimagining professional services. These advances are happening today, transforming the mindsets of those historically adverse to change. Some examples are the automation of audit and accounting processes and blockchain for real-time audit & reporting. The MACPA is known by its forward thinking and focus on innovation, its CPA Summit reinforced that as the profession evolves, CPAs & CAs should prioritize their focus more on Advisory Services where their expertise will drive better business outcomes. Auditchain is collaborating with Regulators, Professional Associations, CPAs and CAs to drastically improve financial reporting, assurance, and audits in the blockchain age. The main takeaway is that change is here and together, audit and accounting communities are reimagining the future of the profession. During the panel, Danusiar added: “The mindset that “Change is risk” – that has to change”.
